Meditation is a method of attaining wisdom, which is why it is said that
“meditation is the daily bread of the wise”.
Through the practice of meditation, following the steps with patience and perseverance, we are able to reach higher states of consciousness, which essentially translate into serenity, peace, and tranquility.
The more we keep ourselves in this higher state, the more we gain self-control and understanding of the organic and spiritual life that exists within and outside us.
Meditation is also a state of no-mind or no-thought. In the Gnostic studies we can verify that the mind is an instrument of knowledge, but that at present it is found in a totally uncontrolled and unbalanced state, because of the multiple psychological aggregates (ego) that the human being possesses.
Meditation allows us to understand and prove that there is something beyond the mind that is called essence, or consciousness, a fraction of the ALL, or God, within each human being, a kind of inner light, that is what we really are. If we get in touch with our divine essence through the silence of the mind and the deep concentration directed towards our inner universe, this generates self-knowledge and true spiritual growth and development.
The Gods are only waves of light within the profound ocean of that which has no name. The superlative consciousness of the Being extends, terrifyingly expands, and senses that finally it has to be lost in something even more profound…
If the ego did not exist, any possibility of terror would be something more than impossible. Unfortunately, the ego still exists and fears the Buddhist Annihilation. It is precisely the ‘myself’ that transmits its perfidious vibration to the superlative consciousness of the Being.
The important thing, of course, is to experience the Truth. The Truth is in the Illuminating Void. When Jesus, the Great Kabir, was asked: “What is the Truth?” the Master kept a profound silence. When Gautama Sakyamuni was asked the same question, he turned his back and withdrew. The truth cannot be described, it cannot be explained; everyone has to experience it for himself, through the technique of meditation.
In “Sunyata”, the direct experience of the Illuminating Void, one truly is the tree, the bird, the fish, the sun, the suns, the world, the worlds, everything that is, has been and will be. When you have “Ego” the Essence returns like the Aladdin’s lamp to the bottle, the interior of the ego. Thus, one loses the “Sunyata”, the mystical experience of the real. It is precisely in “Sunyata” that one directly experiences that which is the Truth. The Essence in “Sunyata” moves freely within the “Illuminating Void”. The drop is submerged within the ocean of that which no one understands.

Meditation is a higher state of consciousness where the dual and earthly mind does not intervene. Furthermore, it is a technique, and it is necessary to know this technique thoroughly to achieve better meditation. Another key point to succeed in meditation is the deep study of the mind and thoughts. The mind works within the realm of the known: a human being who is asleep expresses concepts and thoughts only from what has come to him through his senses, in other words, from the outside to the inside. For the great enlightened masters it is different: they have managed to cross the threshold of the mind and connect with the spiritual world, and from there they bring something new, an inner knowledge, a spiritual light that opens the eyes of the consciousness, thus achieving an intimate transformation and spiritual growth.
The mission of Gnostic Culture is the diffusion of the universal knowledge as gathered, organized and clarified by the Venerable Master Samael Aun Weor, the Great Patriarch of the Gnostic institutions in the world, and Avatar of the Aquarian Age. The V. M. Samael delivered the practical synthesis for the self-realization of the Being, through the three factors of the Revolution of the Consciousness: psychological death (elimination of the psychological defects), birth (transmutation of the creative energies) and sacrifice for humanity (disinterested work for the benefit of humanity). One particularly important area for achieving wisdom, enlightenment and objective knowledge is meditation. We hope that everyone will move away from theory and towards spiritual work in a serious and organized manner. For this, the spiritual practices need to be grasped and deeply understood.
